NYDMC receives MDA Grant to Support AI for DM Research Project

Drs. Berglund and Vangaveti from the RNA Institute were awarded an MDA grant from the funds raised through the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s ‘All that Jazz’ gala to support DM research. A part of the grant will support an ongoing project to leverage AI to analyze video-based clinical outcome measures in muscular dystrophy. This approach aims to enable the correlation between clinical symptoms and transcriptomic data, supporting therapeutic evaluations. Part of the grant will fund testing of small molecule therapeutics in DM based animal models.
